MEFERI Technologies Co., Ltd. hereby provides the following notification for the End-of-Life (EOL) status of specific models, their spare parts availability, and support for operating system upgrades. At MEFERI, we are committed to ensuring the longevity, reliability, and ongoing support of our products through effective lifecycle management. This includes clear timelines for EOL, spare parts access, and OS updates, enabling partners and customers to plan transitions, minimize disruptions, and sustain optimal performance. This document outlines key milestones in the product lifecycle, including warranty periods, production status, EOL dates, spare parts availability, OS support details, and security patch timelines. These elements are essential for maintaining the efficiency and longevity of your MEFERI devices.

2.1. Product Lifecycle Definitions

MEFERI Technologies Co., Ltd. confirms the following lifecycle information regarding the models listed above.

  • Product Model Name: The name of the device model manufactured by MEFERI, for which the lifecycle and spare parts availability conditions are specified.
  • OS Version: The operating system version that the device runs on. This could be Android, Linux, or another compatible operating system for the given model.
  • Warranty Period: The duration during which MEFERI guarantees the repair or replacement of defective products, subject to Warranty Terms and Conditions.
  • Production Status: Reflects whether a product is still in production, has reached End-of-Sale, or is no longer supported.
  • Useful Life After Production: Refers to the 8-year period starting from the model’s mass production launch date (not the date of the customer’s last shipment). During this time, the product is expected to function normally under standard operating conditions. The conclusion of this useful life is marked by the End-of-Life (EOL) Date, which signals the termination of MEFERI’s production, support, and lifecycle for that model.
  • EOL Date (End of Life/Production Date): The date after which the model will no longer be produced, and no new units of this model will be available for sale or distribution.
  • Spare Parts Supply Period: The 1-year period following the EOL date, during which spare parts will still be available for ordering and product repairs.

2.2. Production Status Definitions

  • Active: The product is still in production and available for sale.
  • End-of-Sale: The product is no longer sold but remains supported with warranties and spare parts.
  • End-of-Life (EOL): The product is no longer in production or supported for new production, though spare parts are still available.
  • Spare Parts Only: Only spare parts are available, and the product is no longer sold or fully supported.
  • End of Service: All product support, including the availability of spare parts, has ended.

5. Legal Notes and Compliance with International Standards

MEFERI’s End-of-Life (EOL) and spare parts policies are aligned with international standards for AIDC products. These include but are not limited to:

  1. RoHS Compliance (Directive 2011/65/EU): All MEFERI products comply with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive, ensuring that products reaching their End-of-Life are disposed of in an environmentally responsible way, and spare parts used are also compliant with this directive.
  2. ISO 9001:2015: MEFERI’s production and warranty processes are in line with ISO 9001 standards for quality management systems, ensuring consistent product quality from the manufacturing phase through the warranty period and spare parts availability.

After the End-of-Life (EOL) and spare parts availability period, as defined in these standards, MEFERI will no longer provide any warranty services or spare parts for the listed products. This policy is consistent with internationally recognized AIDC industry practices, where products typically receive 5-7 years of post-production support, ensuring ample time for maintenance, repairs, and transitions while balancing environmental and operational sustainability.
